pretty much have only used it three times

Had to buy this for a mass comm. class, pretty much have only used it three times. So besides the ridiculous price, I was dismayed to realize that the content is really lacking. For a book titled 'taking sides', there aren't actually a whole lot of directly opposing views. Many of my assignments that asked me to 'pick a side' from the arguments offered have resulted in my realization that neither 'side' actually makes a truly oppositional argument. Most of the time they are actually complimentary. If you want an example, read the, 'women and body image issues in the media' section. Really disappointed in my professor for assigning this textbook, it's garbage in my opinion.
