College freshman Liv is more than just a fangirl: The Starveil movies are her life...and her last tangible connection to her deceased father. Thus, when her favorite character, Captain Matt Spartan, is killed off at the end of the last movie, Liv Just. Can't. Deal.
Tired of sitting in her room sobbing, Liv decides to launch an online campaign to bring her beloved hero back to life. With the help of her best friend, Xander, actor and steampunk cosplayer extraordinaire, she creates #SpartanSurvived, a call that ignites the fandom. But as her online life succeeds beyond her wildest dreams, Liv is forced to balance that with the pressures of school, her (mostly nonexistent and entirely traumatic) romantic life, and her disapproving mother's new boyfriend. A trip to DragonCon with Xander might be exactly what she needs to get away from it all... and figure out what (and who!) she really wants, in this geeky romance by Danika Stone.

Gr 10 Up—When the fifth "Starveil" movie is released in theaters, superfan Liv Walden is devastated at the ending. Spartan, the character she is obsessed with, has died. The credits erase all hope that the actor, Tom Grander, will play Spartan again. The college freshman has no idea how she will cope with this immense loss until she decides to take action. She calls on the fandom, and her friends heed the call, posting fiction, manips (photo-manipulations), and vids (video recordings). Liv feels like this campaign can bring Spartan back to life, but will it cause more trouble in her real life than she expects? This is an insider's look into the life of a fangirl. Liv has always felt like an outsider at school, but her online life is where she thrives. Her reaction to the death of Spartan may seem melodramatic as the book begins, but Stone explores Liv's involvement in fandom, and her feelings emerge realistically. Texts, tweets, and descriptions of the vids Liv creates with her best friend, Xander, bring the "Starveil" fandom to life. Liv's college life, filled with awkward crushes and her inability to express her feelings, contrasts very well with the confident online Liv. Liv's experiences with fandom will resonate with many teens, but it is her struggles to understand her goals for the future, her feelings for Xander, and even the drudgery of college that will compel teens to stick with this story. VERDICT Hand to teens who are avid participants in popular fandoms or display during Comic Con programming.—Sarah Wethern, Douglas County Library, Alexandria, MN

“I fell in love with this story! Well written, funny, with a side of romance. Liv and Xander are great. Real friends with the ups and downs all friends have. I was laughing and cringing as I read. This book definitely captures the feel of all consuming fandom can be, but there's a real heart to its message. Totally loved it!” ―Mara M., Swoon Reader
“A great read about fandom and friendship.” ―Kate Pearson, Swoon Reader

A story so addictive that it's so hard to put it down!

Spoiler alert!
SPOILER ALERT!
"All the Feels" by Danika Stone
My Rating: "R" for swearing, bad words, and suggestive themes.
I finished reading the story but I have yet to finish the interview with the author on the back of the book.
Cons: Swearing, bad words, and inappropriate scenes/dialogue. No glossary available, so some fandom slang is hard to know what it means.
Pros: I LOVE the storyline!! I was hooked since the beginning and tried hard not to continue reading so I could go to sleep, LOL! Xander and Liv are the perfect couple in this book. I'm very impressed! This story has been very well planned and written. Liv might be annoying to some people who hate whiny teenagers, but I really enjoyed her attitude because I can kinda relate: I'm a hermit, hehe! And her only way she can socialize comfortably is by texting her friend and online friends. Throughout the story, I was screaming in my head to Liv and Xander: KISS KISS KISS!! And they finally do near the end. They were among their own people and an internship opportunity arrived for Liv. So her dreams came true. This book was so hard to put down, and the characters stick to your mind! A very addictive story!
I would rate this book a 4 because of the cons I listed above, but the storyline was too good that I gave it a 5 star rating. :)

my favorite part of most days
By team fefe
I'm a fangirl. It's how I identify. My fandoms are my escape, my therapy, my connection with like-minded friends, my favorite part of most days. I love the fangirl life so much, I'm on staff at DragonCon, which is how I heard about All The Feels.
The second I read the description of this book, I was intrigued and excited to read this story.
This story, Liv's story is every fangirl's story or dream.
The writing was phenomenal. Stone got so many details so perfect, it's obvious she knows the fangirl life. The author nailed the lingo; from the book title to the chapter titles, I felt like I was reading a tweet or Tumblr post from a friend/fellow nerd that spoke the same language as me. There were shout-outs to my favorite fandoms and my favorite (and least favorite) parts of Con life, most specifically DragonCon.
If you've ever been to that convention, or any geeky/nerdy fan convention, you'll have many, "OMG, same!" moments while reading All The Feels.
This book gives us a glimpse into the irl joys, pains, confusion, and elation of what happens when you ship, when you flail, when your OTP becomes canon, when your favorite character is killed, and when your fandom world collides with your real life.
All The Feels puts you in the middle of fandom and convention life, so those that live it can relate to it and those that wonder what it's like can get a look inside.
I hope I haven't gone overboard with the praise for this book, but I also don't think this book will disappoint. All The Feels delivers completely on its promise, you will absolutely have all the feels.

Un-Put-Down-Able
By Jonathan King
If I start a #AllTheSequels movement, can I get more Liv and Xander?
Seriously, though, this should be required reading for anyone in Fandom. It totally nails the experience of loving a story so much it feels real and the amazing community that forms around that passion. And the love story part is pretty adorable too. Be warned: All the Feels is super-addictive, and side effects may include desire to attend a con, increased interest in cosplay, swooning over 19th Century gentlemen with a taste for fast food, and all your free time disappearing as you devour chapter after chapter. This one's earned a permanent place on my shelf.
